Creator Kit Review is funded through affiliate links. This page explains what that means and how we handle it.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a provider’s website that contains a tracking code. If you click the link and then buy or sign up, the provider may pay us a commission.

  • It costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price as you would by going to the provider directly.
  • You never have to use our links. You can always go to the provider’s site directly.

Commissions don’t affect rankings or recommendations

Which tools we include, how we rank them and what we recommend is based on price, features, our own checks where possible, and how well a tool fits the use case described. Whether a provider pays a commission, or how much, is not part of that assessment. We include tools that pay us nothing, and we point out weaknesses in tools that do pay commission.

Providers cannot pay for a better position, a better rating or a positive review, and they don’t get to review or approve our articles before publication.

How advertising is marked

Hidden advertising is not allowed under the Swedish Marketing Practices Act (marknadsföringslagen, 2008:486), and the Swedish Consumer Agency (Konsumentverket) requires advertising to be recognisable as advertising straight away. We therefore mark it like this:

  • At the top of every article: a short notice that the site is funded through affiliate partnerships and how affiliate links are marked. The notice comes before the main content, not at the bottom.
  • Next to every affiliate link: the label “Ad”. Buttons and image links that are affiliate links are marked the same way.

Links without the “Ad” label are ordinary links without tracking or commission.

Who we work with

We work, or apply to work, with providers through affiliate networks and through direct affiliate programs run by individual providers. Being in a network or program does not mean that a provider is recommended on this site. When an affiliate link is added to an article, it is marked “Ad” as described above.

Free access and review copies

We don’t accept free paid plans, review copies or other payment in kind from the providers we write about. Hands-on checks are done with free plans, free trials or accounts we pay for ourselves, and the article says which.
